NATURE STUDY CAMP 

A 40 member team of GHSS Shiriya participated in 3 days Nature Study Camp at Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary.  The team   reached at Sanctuary by school bus on 27.11.2014 evening.  The team included 24 boys and 08 girls of eighth, ninth and tenth standard as well as eight accompanying staff including two ladies.  The three days camp was very useful for the members as they took oath to protect nature by the end of the program.  The camp gave chances to the participants to study about the Nature, forest and wildlife and to have a close look to the wild animals from their natural surroundings.  As a part of the trip, the team visited Parassinikkadavu Snake Park and Pazhasshi Dam Also.  For more pictures, please see the Album.

Shri. Ali Kunhi, Member, Mangalpady Gramapanchayat Inaugurates Two Days Saksharam Camp at GHSS Shiriya.

Saksharam Two Days camp held at GHSS Shiriya on 27 and 28 of September 2014.  The camp was officially inaugurated by  Shri. Ali Kunhi, Ward Member, Mangalpady Grama Panchayat in the presidency of  PTA President Shri. Ibrahim Kotta.  Headmistress. Smt. Geetha H., Santhosh N K, Ratnakaran K V, Santhosh A, Surendra C K, Manoj T V, Krishnanandan T, Suchithra,  Lalitha, Chanchalakshi, Poomani etc. lead the camp. Participation of Saksharam Students was very high and a very few pupils were absent due to unavoidable reasons.  School authority arranged transport facility to the participants in School Bus to and fro and a number of parents also were present.  Students were participating in thrilling activities under the attractive leadership of well performing teachers.  The camp was a great success and incomparable in the last few years of the school.

Vidyarangam Kala Sahithya Vedi School level contest held at GHSS Shiriya on 26.09.2014.  The programme was a great success as a number of students participated in different items both from Kannada and Malayalam Medium.  The programme was officially inaugurated by Hon'ble PTA President Shri. Ibrahim Kotta and presided over by Headmistress Smt. Geetha H.  Among from teachers, Shri. Santhosh N K, and Shri. Surendra C K facilitated on the programme.  Manoj T V,  Krishnanandan T,  Ravindra N and Santhosh A and all others were present.

GHSS Shiriya has been awarded with Well Performed School In SSLC Examination - 2014 by Kasaragod District Panchayat.  The award is handed over the Headmistress by Sri. Abdul Nasar, PTA Executive member.

Saksharam 2014-15






Saksharam 2014-15 is officially launched in GHSS Shiriya on 06.08.2014 by the honourable PTA Prsident Sri. Ibrahim Kotta in the presidency of Headmistress Smt. Geetha H.  The launching ceremony was so proud that all the teaching and non teaching staff members attended and a large number of parents as well.  Sri. Manoj T V, the concerned teacher of Saksharam 2014-15 introduced Saksharam 2014-15 and explained the aim and achievement of the programme.  The response from the side of the parents was very appreciable and they offered full hearted support for Saksharam 2014-15.  The function is felicitated by Shi. Haneef (P T A Vice President), Sri. Santhosh N K (Staff Secretary). Smt. Usha K (Senior Assistant), Sri. Surendran C K (SRG Convenor - H S Section) and Smt. Usheela Beevi (SRG Convenor - L P Section).  Sri. Santhosh A voted thanks for the guests and participants.
